The Baltic Sea Project is an international UNESCO ASP network project among schools for a better environment in the Baltic Sea catchment area. Today, 156 schools from 9 different countries are involved in various project activities. After every 3 years a big conference will be held to give the coordination forward to another partner country. Time to celebrate BSP's 26th life year!

There will be no pre-registration to workshops and excursions! The registration will happen on your arrival to the hotel!
Do you enjoy watching these BSP drawing competition works from 2014? The theme was "Gulf of Finland - the coast and wildelife" to support the Gulf of Finland Year 2014. When you come to our BSP 9th International Conference in Tallinn, you will find all these wonderful works of art on the walls of the Pirita Hotel where we hope you will have a wonderful stay. You will be able to place a bet on your favorite picture (minimim of 5 euros) to get the picture at the auction on the 8th of June (9:45-10:15 AM). The bets can be placed during the conference by writing your contact information in a table nex to the exhibition. The profit will go for Estonian Fund for Nature (http://elfond.ee/en) and their sea protection actions! Thank you for your financial support:
Environmental Investment Centre - thanks to you we got to invite scientists from the Estonian Marine Institute, University of Tartu, to give us the practical workshops (http://www.sea.ee/en/). You made it possible to our winter camp to take place in Jäneda - there the volunteer student groups were formed to organize the conference together. Our transport, excursions, meals and info materials - all thanks to you! Estonian Ministry of Education and Research - thanks to you our general coordinator & national coordinator of Estonia got payed for their work & were able to guide the volunteer students in organizing the conference. Thanks to you we also could offer great meals during the conference! AS Tallink Hotels and AS Tallink Group - thanks to you we got a place to accommodate our 200 guests from all 9 different Baltic Sea countries: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, including those 60 free beds that you offered us! We thank you for the discount ship tickets and a lecture about sailing ships on the Baltic Sea as well. AirBaltic - thanks to you we got discount flights to and from Tallinn, so that each student who is really interested in marine protection and nature conservation with Baltic Sea Project could afford the travel. TV3 AS - thanks to you we have 35 nice T-shirts that say "Me armastame Eestit" meaning "We love Estonia!" The volunteer students will wear them during the conference to let all other guests know that they are the organizers and questions can get answers while speaking with them. |
